FAQs
ABA & Parent Coaching
What is Parent-Led ABA?
Parent-led ABA focuses on coaching caregivers to use evidence-based strategies within everyday routines. Parents learn practical skills that can be applied at home, in the community, and across daily activities to support lasting behavior change.
What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals develop meaningful skills and reduce behaviors that interfere with daily life. ABA uses positive, individualized strategies to teach communication, social, self-help, play, and daily living skills while supporting independence and quality of life.
At Rose Behavior Consulting, ABA focuses on understanding behavior and empowering families with practical strategies they can use at home, at school, and in the community. Services are tailored to each child’s strengths, needs and family goals. Learn more at autism Speaks
Who can benefit from Parent-Led ABA?
Services are available for children with autism and other developmental, behavioral, social, or adaptive skill needs. Parent coaching can also support neurotypical children experiencing behavior, communication, or daily living challenges.
Does my child need an autism diagnosis to receive services?
No. ABA principles can benefit individuals of all ages and abilities. While ABA is commonly used to support individuals with autism, it can also help address challenges related to communication, behavior, daily living skills, sleep, routines, transitions, and caregiver-child interactions.
Can I hire a BCBA privately for my child?
Yes! Rose Behavior Consulting offers private-pay BCBA services including parent-led ABA, individualized parent coaching, behavioral consultations, and behavioral sleep support.
Can Parent-Led ABA help while waiting for clinic-based services?
Yes. Parent-led ABA can be a valuable option for families waiting for clinic-based, school-based, or insurance funded ABA services. Families may be able to begin receiving individualized support and learning practical strategies while remaining on waitlists, depending on availability.
Behavioral Sleep Support
What sleep challenges can be addressed?
Sleep services can help with bedtime resistance, frequent night wakings, co-sleeping dependence, difficulty falling asleep, early waking, inconsistent sleep schedules, and sleep challenges related to autism, anxiety, or behavioral concerns.
How long does behavioral sleep support take?
Many families begin seeing improvements within a few weeks, though timelines vary depending on the child's needs and family circumstances
